All our workshops are currently in abeyance due to the coronavirus restrictions.  At this stage, we can't even guess when we'll be back in action, or in what form.  Meantime, we've left the website 'as is', for information. NEWS

Website Upgrade

The software on which this website was created is now obsolete - and the laptop which runs it has been threatening to explode!  While we'd like to set up a new site using an alternative system, we have no idea what content to include, given the current situation....so are stuck...

Once we can resume workshops, this is likely to take priority over website creation!

If you hear that we are underway again, but there are no details on the website, please check our Facebook page for updates.

One-off woodwind ensemble workshops in Perthshire, specifically intended for adult learners or 'returners' on flute, oboe, clarinet or bassoon.

Now extended to include saxophone workshops, plus various light-hearted 'play-along' events that also cater for late starters/rusty returners on brass or bowed strings.

It's OK to be incompetent in our easy workshops held at Birnam Arts Centre! These are specifically designed for relative beginners seeking entry-level experience of playing in a group situation.  Small ensemble sizes mean you'll receive plenty of encouragement and individual attention, while music tailored to ability/confidence level ensures you shouldn't feel out of your depth.

For those with a bit more experience, Blow and Blast offers a range of workshops at several different venues.  Perhaps you have fairly good technical skills but would like to develop greater confidence and extend your experience in a relaxed and friendly context.  Or maybe you are looking for the chance to have a 'good blow' and some sight-reading challenges, without the need to make a regular commitment.  Dig out your instrument and give Blow & Blast a go!
